West Lake State Guesthouse Hangzhou, it indulges in the West Lake Culture and enjoys the honor of state guests!
The hotel is located in the core of the West Lake, known as 'the West Lake in the West Lake'. It covers an area of 360000 square meters (540 mu) and occupies more than 2000 meters of Lake coastline. Living here, you can have a close view of 'spring dawn on the Su dyke' and a distant view of 'sunset on Leifeng'. You can walk to 'fish watching in Huagang' and 'wind lotus in Quyuan' and drive to all the scenic spots in Hangzhou.
The hotel is the venue for G20 Hangzhou summit and banquets for foreign heads of state; It was redesigned by Mr. Dai Nianci, a famous garden designer. The courtyard is exquisitely built, with curved corridors and bamboo trees.
Looking back a hundred years, the predecessor of the hotel was built by private gardens such as Liuzhuang and Kangzhuang. Liu Zhuang was the manor of Liu Xuexun, a Jinshi in the late Qing Dynasty, while Kang Zhuang was the former residence of Kang Youwei.
