Sanma No Aji
This Gulou Japanese eatery gets atmosphere spot-on with lots of warm wood textures and dim lighting. The menu is cookie-cutter izakaya fare: meaty things on sticks, barbecued fish, steamy bowls of ramen and udon. Dishes like yakitori chicken and whole grilled mackerel were a few elements shy of all-round wonderful, but the skewered shrimp is unquestionably tasty. Avoid the cold dishes.
