Weekend Concert
To popularize and further develop symphony in China, adhering to the guiding principles "for the people, for the arts, for the world", NCPA presents audiences with our unique Weekend Concerts, together with China's seven top orchestras and seven renowned conductors. The concerts will combine a series of excellent symphonic masterpieces at home and abroad, with professional narrators for each concert.
Classic Art Lectures
Renowned artistic experts and celebrities from around the globe are regularly invited to the NCPA to share their thoughts and experiences with members of the public. Sweeping pretension under the carpet, the lectures will discuss a range of issues connected with art and culture in an engaging and colourful style. We want to help you explore the thinking behind the artistic genres presented on stage at the NCPA's venues in a relaxed and informal environment.
Enter into the World of Records
In the themed lectures, We invite experts and critics to introduce classic pieces and repertoires. We unite with renowned records companies and audio equipment companies to display and promote classical phonograms and audio equipment. We sincerely hope that members can take this as a gateway, to walk into the world of phonograms, into the world of music.
Arts Library
The Arts Library is located on the top floor of NCPA's Concert Hall. In this nearly 1,400-square-meter library, visitors may search through a huge wealth of art resources, admire NCPA's magnificent building, immerse themselves in all the music genres or participate in a variety of activities ranging from art lectures, exhibitions, new album or book promotion to record signing.
As NCPA's auxiliary branch and a provider of services other than performances, the Arts Library houses a wonderful collection of books,periodicals, records, music scores and other resources in performing arts. We hope that over time, it will turn into China's top resource centre, boasting the most comprehensive and richest performing arts collections in the country.
